We need to address any organisational culture which limits life for the worker and outcomes for the beneficiaries.
A growing percentage of the work of CBI in Greece and elsewhere has been in helping existing Grass roots organisations with their planning, strategy and personnel. Many major NGO’s have now left Greece and it has put considerable pressure on those who seek to keep vulnerable refugees safe from exploitation and harm. We have been running mentoring and supervision work for projects and providing therapeutic support for workers becoming burnt out from prolonged frontline work.
Organisational Culture is something that exists within groups from a very early stage, some of it being inherited thinking or the importation of models that are not fit for use. It can also be around how ideas are shared and utilized helped or hindered by decision making processes which are outcomes limiting. CBI’s help in analyzing processes can range from discussions with leaders to thorough organisational mapping interviewing all staff and volunteers through positive inquiry processes.
